Hud 11:44 states that after the flood subsided, Noah's ark "came to rest on al-Judi". This is the only verse in which the name appears.
Most classical Islamic sources identify al-Judi with Mount Judi (Cudi Dağı) near Cizre (Jazirat Ibn Umar), in today's Şırnak province of Turkey. In the Jewish and Christian tradition the ark comes to rest on "the mountains of Ararat", a phrase later associated with Mount Ararat (Ağrı Dağı) in eastern Anatolia.
As the resting place of the ark cannot be determined with certainty, both locations are shown on the map.
